Active Cruise Control

Active Cruise Control with Stop and Go, which, when engaged, operates as normal cruise control until it senses a slower moving vehicle directly ahead. At that time, the cruise control matches the speed of the 5 Series to that of the slower moving vehicle, maintaining a driver selected, pre-set distance between the two vehicles. The Stop & Go function will bring the 5 Series to a complete stop if the vehicle ahead stops. Upon application of the accelerator, Active Cruise Control allows the car start moving again. Once there's no longer any nearby slower moving traffic ahead, the cruise control resumes initial speed set by the driver, continuing to use the pre-set selections initially made by the driver.; Frontal Collision Warning in which if the vehicle ahead suddenly brakes, the driver is alerted and if necessary, the brakes are engaged.

Remote Control Parking

When activated by the user of the Display Key (a multi-function remote key fob with an LED color display on it), Remote Control Parking pulls the 5 Series into or out of a parking space while the car is unoccupied.
