Integral Active Steering

Integral Active Steering varies the front steering ratio (amount of steering wheel rotation required to turn a given corner), based on vehicle speed and other driving conditions. It reduces steering wheel rotations (therefore reducing effort) required during low speed maneuvering and increases steering wheel rotations required during high speed maneuvering (the latter reducing the likelihood the driver will turn sharply at high speed, thereby helping maintain high speed stability). Additionally, when the front wheels are turned, Integral Active Steering turns the rear wheels as much as 2.5 degrees opposite phase (opposite direction of the front wheels) at lower vehicle speeds or same phase (same direction of the front wheels) at higher vehicle speeds. The opposite phase motion reduces the turning circle, while the same phase motion enhances the car's high speed stability.

Adaptive Drive

Adaptive Drive reduces body roll (tendency for a vehicle to lean when cornering, especially during higher speed cornering) and includes Dynamic Drive and active chassis control.

Parking Assistant

When engaged, Parking Assistant surveys the size of available nearby parking spaces to determine which ones are of adequate size for the 6 Series. When a space of adequate size is found by Parking Assistant and selected by the driver, this feature will provide all steering inputs required to maneuver the car into that space. In a combined effort with Parking Assistant, the driver must select the appropriate gear and control the accelerator and brakes to park the car.

ACC Stop & Go + Active Driving Assistant

When engaged, Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go operates as normal cruise control until it senses a slower moving vehicle directly ahead.
